"Ashes Of Love"/Xianxia Inspired Modernized Hanfu
I got the idea to make these while watching “Ashes of Love.” Granted, they don’t look like an exact copy of what the characters were wearing. I’m more inspired by the design, structure, and construction of the clothing, than an exact reproduction of what was being worn.
The over jacket part of the Hanfu is made from a polyester fabric that has embroidery and rhinestones. It can be machine washed, but DO NOT machine dry.
The base dresses of the Hanfu vary in material. For the Green and Black Medium, the base dress is made from up cycled satin. For the White and Pink Small, the base dress is a cotton blend. For the Purple and Light Pink Large, the base dress appears to be a cotton/linen blend. I found that particular fabric at a discount store, where it was unfortunately not labeled. For the Black and Turquoise 2XL, the base dress is an up cycled cotton blend. For Purple and Burgundy M, the base dress is poly cotton. For Royal Blue XL, the base dress is poly cotton.
If I don’t have your size, never fear! I have more in the works. I had a lot of fun with this project, and as soon as my operating budget increases, I plan to add more.
The quickest way to determine size is to use the Cup Size of your bra as the guideline. If you’re wanting something more specific, read the guidelines below.
To determine size, the most important measurements are across the front shoulder, from left to right (DO NOT MEASURE ALL THE WAY AROUND). Additionally, your bust measurement is also important, and in that case, do measure all the way around. If in doubt, such as you have small shoulders and larger breasts, go for the larger size.
